kagiso Rahlogo is also a Model, Actor and Mrs South Africa Semifinalist, Mrs Universe Africa semifinalist, Mrs Tshwane finalists and Mrs Globe South Africa finalist. After she tested HIV-positive 22 year’s ago at the age of 20.
kagiso Rahlogo say “I was infected by my first time boyfriend on my birthday, after infecting me with HIV he said to me WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF AIDS, I didn’t believe him at first I thought he was joking but I decided to go and test then the results came positive, then I decided to do the second one came positive and then last one came positive also and the doctor threw me with my results on my face says”
“I’m dirty, I’m having 9 STI’s that is when I realized it’s true, so I started to feel ashamed, scared, keep quiet until I lost my mind for 2 months” I remember every morning I was walking bear foot on the streets talking alone until I met this other doctor from Congo Dr Doti and he took me to his surgery and talk to me. That’s when I cough everything out and cry but Dr Doti said don’t worry I am going to help you
Dr Doti introduced me to another Doctor Snyman and they started doing counselling, teach me about HIV Aids of which it was difficult first because I was thinking about what people will say. Few days later I started feeling sick and sick then I started not going to work because I was VERY sick and starting to show symptoms.
kagiso Rahlogo said work stress was more then Community, my family members, I remember my mother telling me not to use her plates and cups then i decided to buy my own cup and plates and i moved to my place, i was alone…
I started losing weight, and Couldn’t Walk, bath myself and started wearing adult diapers then i was hospitalized in comma for 2 months and while in a comma i saw my late grandma and she said to me Kagiso wake up this is not your time Kagiso you still have a lot of work, go and educate everyone about HIV Aids, fight stigma and live life to the fullest then I woke, when I opened my eyes I was surrounded by my family members and doctor’s of which they were ready to switch off machine, so I told them God gave me the second chance to live and I am going to fight for my people around the world and break stigma of HIV AIDS.
I accepted myself went to gym started eating healthy food and drink my medication, My cd4 count went up to 1800 and viral load went down to -30 which is undetectable meaning it’s only 1% of HIV AIDS.
Now i have a healthy beautiful Princess Regomoditswe and a God sent Husband
