South African Neo-folk music artist Khologrey Kholofelo Nkadimeng has carved out a distinctive position in the music industry. She’s one of the country’s future biggest stars. She has not only performed to thousands of fans, she also writes and co-produces some of her own material.

Khologrey Kholofelo Nkadimeng started writing music in primary school and composed the songs with her friends who were also her fellow school choir mates at the time, she recalls. “I sometimes didn’t even understand the depth of the words I was putting down on paper, I just wanted to write, compose my own music and sing” she adds.

“Now Khologrey Kholofelo Nkadimeng is learning to play a Guitar”

As a new generation takes the reins, African roots music is needed more than ever to remind us of the troubled but at the same time colorful & nostalgic pathways of our own history. Her hard-hitting songs touch on modern issues and more personal narratives speaking to life and love in the digital age.

I come from a musical family my younger sister Pontsho Nkadimeng was a backing vocalist of Winnie Mashaba choir Rorisafeela

I admire Candy Tsa Mandebele because she sings with her own language and I have learned a lot from her and Mr Rastaman Nkushu my manager is an inspirational to me he make sure i get what i want.

My primary school musical teachers Mrs Lentsoane and Mrs Thupane of Itireleng primary school where the best teachers anyone can have.

I loved listening to the queen of pop Sade and my old times local artist are Mafikizolo , Mama Candy , Joyous Celebration and Worship House

I have a song about Baroka FC our soccer team from Limpopo so when Baroka plays then I go and perform in stadiums ,and I also do perform in different occasions gala-dinners and weddings.

I do make time for everything and when i’m home i make sure i spoil my kids Neo and Pule.
