Survival mode is rough, says Minnie

Written by on December 18, 2023

Minnie Dlamini has sparked concern among her fans after she posted a message about feeling “battered and bruised”.

The TV personality and actress has had a difficult few years stemming from her public marriage breakdown and custody battle with her ex-husband, Quinton Jones. She’s also lost her baby brother Makhosini.

To add insult to injury, Minnie has also dealt with trolls who’ve criticised her appearance and age-shamed her.

In an Instagram Story on Sunday, 17 December, Minnie reflected on the year that was.

She shared: “I’m exhausted! This year has genuinely taken everything of me just to get by, and to look back and realise I did more than just get by makes me feel so great! I’m proud of me and how well I’ve done!”

She continued: “But I need a serious cry, coz wow, survival mode is rough! Feeling thankful but also so battered and bruised. Today was really difficult”.

The mum-of-one followed up her post with another one, thanking fans for their concern.

She added: “I promise I am ok and feeling loved and blessed.  God showed up for me so much in the form of all of you who made my year a success.”

Earlier this week, Minnie reacted to news of singer Zahara’s passing. In a touching tribute, the star revealed how the singer encouraged her through her own difficult times.

She posted: “I remember her being one of the few people who reached out to me to check if I was ok.

“We shared a beautiful bond of sisterhood that I will forever cherish…Rest In Power.”
