Two males arrested in Hammanskraal for illicit cigarettes

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) continues to demonstrate their commitment to ensuring the safety of the community by actively removing criminals from the streets of Tshwane. In a recent operation conducted by TMPD region 2, sector 1 officers in Hammanskraal during routine road policing duties, two individuals were apprehended. The suspects attempted to evade the authorities by engaging in a high-speed chase when instructed to stop their vehicle.
Upon conducting a thorough search of the suspects’ vehicle, law enforcement officers uncovered a variety of incriminating evidence. Among the items seized were tools commonly used for house-breaking, a significant quantity of illicit cigarettes, and a sum of R2000 in cash. These findings serve as a testament to the criminal activities the individuals were likely involved in, highlighting the importance of the swift actions taken by TMPD officers.

Molapo said the arrested suspects are detained at the local police station and will appear in court soon.
